SAND TRAY THERAPY

For Young People (16+) and Adults

I offer a unique and creative way to explore and express feelings, thoughts, and experiences that may be difficult to articulate, through Sand Tray Therapy. Using a variety of miniature figures and objects, clients create a scene within the sand tray that represents their inner world - reflecting emotions, struggles, and personal processes. This visual and tactile medium provides a safe space to address challenges and gain deeper insights.

During a session, the sand tray acts as a bridge to the unconscious, often revealing perspectives and truths not yet fully realised. By working together, the client and therapist explore the imagery and symbolism, expanding awareness and stimulate healing around specific issues.

Sand Tray Therapy is particularly effective for young people aged 16+ and adults alike. It provides a less pressurised alternative to traditional talking therapies, making it especially beneficial for those who may find verbal expression challenging. For younger

clients, it closely mirrors free play, creating an environment that feels natural and engaging.

I have witnessed profound shifts in both children and adults through this method. It opens the door to self-discovery, enabling clients to process emotions and experiences in a way that feels safe, intuitive, and deeply transformative.

If you’re looking for Sand Tray Therapy in Totnes, or the South Devon area for yourself or a young person, this approach can offer a meaningful path to growth, clarity, and connection.
